Behind the Magic of ShopTheMouse

While Searching online for a birthday present for my wife one year, I was really disappointed by the range of collectable Disney items, rare Disney items and items aimed at Disney adults in general.

There was plenty of stuff aimed at children, but very little from the parks or that was quite what I was looking for.

I ended up buying a few bits from various sellers on eBay…and was extremely disappointed with all 3.

The first item, which was a notepad that has been described as being new had obviously been used as there were a couple of pages that had been ripped out, leaving the torn edges.

The second item was a Christmas Tree decoration that arrived smashed after being sent out in a plastic bag!

The final item was a pair of Disney ears, which looked nothing like the photos and turned out to not be official Disney merchandise.

At this point, I decided that if I couldn’t find the kind of Disney items I wanted, I’d create a place where others could.

Drawing on my previous experience from working at what was Europe’s largest online toy store, and my time running a successful eBay business, I knew I could build something better. I’d already developed the skills to source quality products, handle logistics, and create websites – so why not bring it all together and build a store that Disney fans like myself could trust?

I set out to create a shop that solves the frustrations I experienced – a place where every item is listed accurately, including detailed descriptions and clear photos showing any imperfections. I made sure that every product we sell is 100% genuine Disney merchandise, sourced either directly from the parks or trusted suppliers.
